Description of key information

The very low value for the bioconcentration factor (BCF) indicates a lack for bioaccumulation potential in aquatic species of 2-dimethylaminoethanol (Chemservice S.A., 2010, revised 2019).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
3.162 L/kg ww

Additional information

Due to the measured logPow of -0.55 for the test substance, accumulation in organisms is not expected. Hence, no further studies regarding bioaccumulation in organisms are performed. Only QSAR calculation was undertaken (Chemservice 2010, revised 2019), resulting in a BCF value of 3.162 L/kg wet weight.
