Description of key information

Experimentally determined pKa1 and pKa2 values were 2.5 and 4.6

Key value for chemical safety assessment

pKa at 20°C:
4.6

Additional information

The pKa values show that the substance may is partially ionized at pH values between 2 and 5, but at physiological pH values between 6 and 7.4 the majority of the compound will be in the unionised form. (ca. 96 % at pH 6 and ca. 99.9% at pH 7.5).
