Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Visual observations on the test material have been performed as part of a number of key toxicological and ecotoxicological experiments. The test material has most commonly been referred to as a white to off-white solid with a light yellow to pale brown colouration. The physical state is consistently reported as solid with some references describing the test material as a paste and in one case, a solidified oil. One reference to odour described the test material as having a characteristic aromatic odour.

The study investigation the physical properties of the test material was selected as the key study since it gave the most complete sample description. It is also regarded to be based on a representative purity of test material. All studies included for this endpoint were performed in line with good scientific principles and all study reports were GLP compliant and reported to a high standard. As such all studies were assigned a reliability score of 2 and considered suitable for assessment.

The available data is considered to be complete and the description, white to off-white paste at ambient conditions, was carried forward for risk assessment.
