Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Half-life > 1 year, pH 4.0, pH 7.0 and pH 9.0; EU Method C.10; Hamstra-Spikkers HM, Feenstra-Bielders GGLM, 1993

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The rate of hydrolysis of the test material was determined at three pH values in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method C.10 at 323 K. After 5 days less than 10% of the test material had hydrolysised at any of the three investigated pH levels. Therefore, in accordance with the test method used, the half-life time t1/2 of the test material may be estimated from the preliminary test to be:

t1/2 > 1 year at 323 K and pH 4.0

t1/2 > 1 year at 323 K and pH 7.0

t1/2> 1 year at 323 K and pH 9.0

The study was performed in line with GLP and standardised guideline EU Method C.10 and was assigned a reliability score of 1. The study was considered suitable for assessment as an accurate reflection of the test material.

The available data is considered to be complete and the result determined, half-life > 1 year, was taken forward for risk assessment.
