Description of key information

The water solubility of 2,3-Epoxypropyl neodecanoate, oligomeric reaction products with toluene-4-sulfonic acid was determined according to OECD Guideline 105 (1995) and EU test method A.6 (2008) with the flask method. The result was 614 mg/l +/- 23.07 % at 20 °C (pH 2.6) for a saturated aqueous phase still showing a positive Tyndall effect.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
614 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The HPLC analysis revealed that the composition of the test substance changed significantly in the course of the test. The intensities of some peaks increased with time while other intensities decreased, showing that there is rather an interconversion than a degradation of components.
