Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Non-degradable up to 27 days in water and 20 days in sediments, Mitchell 1984

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Mitchell (1984) conducted a screening for microbial degradation of the test item in water samples containing sediments and with samples from which sediments were removed by settling and filtration. The study was carried out using natural water contaminated with the substance at 25 °C and pH 7.0 in the darkness during six weeks. The test item was found to be non degradable in water up to 27 days of incubation and up to 20 days in sediments. The half-life of the test item was not determined within the study.
