Raveton (2006) described a value log Pow = 4.06. However the method used to conduct the testing is an analytical HPLC method based on the correlation of reference substances with the test item. The method is less reliable than the slow-stirring method and highly dependent on the reference substances chosen by the user. These reference substances need to be strucurally related to the test item, which is not the case given the size and complexity (functional groups) of these substances. Furthermore, considering the value is in disagreement with all other available data, it is disregarded from further consideration.

Hammers (1982) and Klamer (1995) both published a value taken from a secondary database. The original documents were not available and no method description was provided. Debnath (1992) and Paya-Perez (1995) reported an experimental value (Low Pow = 3.69 and log Pow = 3.46 respectively) that is in agreement with the key study value. Very few details regarding the methods used were provided. Likewise, McCrady (1987) used an HPLC method from a published paper that was no accessible, thus no details on the method were documented. All values are supporting the data from the key study.

Bruijn (1989) reported an experimental value for the water solubility from a study that was not carried out in compliance with the principles of GLP according to Directive 2004/10/EC. The study was conducted following a method similar to OECD guideline 123 - Slow Stirring Method. The study is well documented and considered reliable, therefore the value log Kow = 3.69 at 25 °C is carried forward for the purpose of risk assessment, classification and labelling.
