Description of key information

EC50 (3h) > 1000 mg/L, NOEC ≥ 1000 mg/L (nominal) for respiration rate of activated sludge (OECD 209)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the short-term toxicity of Bis(2-octyldodecyl) azelate (CAS 897626-46-9) to aquatic microorganisms is available. The static study was performed according to GLP and OECD guideline 209 using non-adapted activated sludge as inoculum (Fiebig, 2008). A 1000 mg/L test solution was used in a limit test. A 3 h-EC50 of > 1000 mg/L and a NOEC ≥ 1000 mg/L are determined for inhibition of respiration on the basis of the nominal test concentration.
