Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the test on stability in organic solvents and identity of relevant degradation products (required in REACh Regulation, ANNEX IX section 7.15) does not need to be conducted as the stability of TODI in organic solvents is not considered as a relevant (chemical) property. As an organic substance, TODI was determined to hydrolyse quite fast (half-life < 12 hours) (see IUCLID Section 5.1.2, study on hydrolysis). Thus, for analysis of stability in organic solvents, the solvent and ambient conditions must be completely free of water. As the stability of TODI in organic solvents is not considered as a relevant (chemical) property, such efforts would be disproportional.
