Description of key information

Sodium vinylsulphante is exclusivcly used as a 25 - 35% aqueous solution.
Where relevant the boiling point of water should be referred.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
100 °C

Additional information

Based on (Q)SAR calculations the boiling point of pure sodium vinylsulphonate is 459.56 °C.

Since polimerization of sodium vinylsulphonate takes place at significantly lower temperatures, evaporation of the substance does not occur.

Where relevant the boiling point of water should be referred.
