Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Significant accumulation in organisms is not to be expected

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No data on bioaccumulation are available. However, due to the rapid hydrolysis of the test substance into DETA and MIBK in water, the bioaccumulation potential of DETA and MIBK can be referenced for this end point.

For DETA a very low bioconcentration in freshwater fish (Cyprinus carpio) was determined (MITI, 1992). The substance is therefore of very low concern for bioaccumulation in aquatic organisms. For MIBK accumulation in organisms is not to be expected as well, since the log Pow of MIBK is below 3.
