Description of key information

Three acute studies are available for all three trophic levels.

A static OECD 203 with Cyprinus carpio was performed. Under the conditions of the test Pentamethyl-trioxepane induced no visible effects in carp at 100 mg/L. The 96h-LC50 > 100 mg/L based on analytically confirmed nominal concentrations.

A static OECD 202 iwth Daphnia magna was performed. Under the conditions of the test Pentamethyl-trioxepane did not induce acute immobilization of Daphnia magna at 63 mg/L after 48 hours of exposure. The 48h-EC50 >63 mg/L.

An OECD 201 with Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was performed.

The 72h-ErC50 is 24 mg/L with a 95% confidence interval ranging from 12 to 51 mg/L.

The 72h-ErC10 is 4.7 mg/L with a 95% confidence interval ranging from 2.2 to 10 mg/L.

An OECD 209 with activated sludge is also available.

Under the conditions of this test testpentamethyl-trioxepane was not toxic to activated sludge bacteria at a concentration of 100 mg/L, NOEC is therefore ≥ 100 mg/L.
