Description of key information

The endpoint is waived. All organic peroxides react catalytically with carbon steel and a number of OP’s with aluminium, which are the reference materials in the test, which results in decomposition of the substance. In addition, for many organic peroxides (with low Self-Accelerating Decomposition Temperature, SADT) a test temperature of 50 deg C will also result in thermal decomposition. Therefore the test cannot be executed. Products will only be handled in compatible stainless steel qualities (e.g. 321, 316 etc.).
