Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the bioaccumulation in aquatic species test ( required in section 9.3.2) does not need to be conducted as the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation (a log Kow < 3) as it is an inorganic substance.

Description of key information

Data waiving: The aquatic/sediment bioaccumulation study does not need to be conducted as the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation (a log Kow<3) as it is an inorganic substance.

Estimated key value for chemical safety assessment:

logBCFfish = 0.85 x log Kow - 0.70 → BCF fish = 0.0112 L/kg ww

(calculated from the formula for substances with log Kow<6 included in page 246 of the TGD on Risk Assessment, Part I)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
0.011 L/kg ww
