Key result
Remarks on result:
no self ignition observed under the test conditions

Any other information on results incl. tables

Assay N°1:

The test was conducted during 24 hours.

The edge length of the cubic sample container was 25 mm.

The internal temperature in the oven range between 140 °C and 141°C.

The temperature of the test item was recorded at 139 °C.

At the start of the test, the test item was red/brown powder. At the end, the test item was melted black block.

No self ignition temperature of the test item was recorded and the temperature of the sample did not exceed the oven temperature by 60 °C (corrected value).

An assay at 140 °C with a 100 mm edge length cube sample was then performed.

Assay N°2:

The test was conducted during 24 hours.

The edge length of the cubic sample container was 100 mm.

The internal temperature in the ovenwas recorded between 140 °C and 141 °C.The temperature of the test item was recorded between 80 °C and 140 °C.

At the start of the test, the test item was a red/brown powder. At the end, the test item was a melted black block.

No self ignition of the test item was recorded and the temperature of the sample did not exceed the oven temperature by 60 °C

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
No self ignition of the test item was recorded.
According to EC No. 1272/2008 (CLP), the test item was not classified as self-heating.
Executive summary:

The test was performed according to the united Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods Manual of tests and Criteria Sixth revised edition (2015) Test N.4 (Part III, Section 33.3.1.6) EC No. 1272/2008 (CLP).

No self-ignition of the test item was recorded and the temperature of the sample did not exceed the oven temperature by 60 °C.

The result is considered negative; the test item was not classified in Division 4.2. According to EC No. 1272/2008 (CLP), the test item was not classified as self-heating.
