Conclusions:
3-Bromo-1-(3-chloro-2-pyridinyl)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylic acid is well soluble in semi-polar solvents (DMF, DMSO) with a solubility of higher than 250 g/L. In aromatic (p-xylene) or halogenated solvents (dichloromethane) 3-Bromo-1-(3-chloro-2-pyridinyl)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylic acide only low solubility was found with less than 10 g/L.

The solubility of 3-Bromo-1-(3-chloro-2-pyridinyl)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylic acidi n several organic solvents is determined according to CIPAC MT 181 by adding successive measured volumes of solvent to a known mass of the test item until complete dissolution is observed. Solubility of 3-Bromo-1-(3-chloro-2-pyridinyl)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylic acid was determined as followed:

  • p-xylene lower than 10 g/L.
  • dichloromethane lower than 10 g/L
  • methanol between 80 g/L and 100 g/L.
  • acetone between 80 g/L and 100 g/L.
  • ethyl acetate lower than 10 g/L
  • dimethylformamide higher than 250 g/L.
  • dimethylsulfoxide higher than 250 g/L.

Solubility of 3-Bromo-1-(3-chloro-2-pyridinyl)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylic acid in organic solvents was determined according to CIPAC 181 (1998).
