As ignition source a flame and a glowing platinum wire was used to ignite the pile at one end. The substance could not be ignited. The test substance is not a readily combustible solid in the sense of Guideline EEC/79/831 test A.10.

Within approximately 60 hours, no gas evolution was registered in the A.12 test. After this gas evolution of 5.5 cm3/kg.h within a period of 44 hours was observed.

The test substance is not regarded as hazardous according to the test method, A.12.
