Type of method:

Key result
Water solubility:
<= 0.1 µg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
8.2 - 8.3
Details on results:
The content of test item analyzed in the water sample was 0.00028 mg/L after one centrifugation step after which already no undissolved test item was visible. The content of test item analyzed in the water sample was 0.000055 mg/L after two consecutive centrifugation steps. The decrease in the concentration is probably caused by adsorbance of the test item between centrifugation steps.
The results for the samples taken at a flow rate set to 12 and 24 mL/h are given in "Adeka Corporation_Water_Solubility" (see attachment) for both the test item containing column and the blank column. The turbidity of the eluates was < 0.2 NTU. According to this, no undissolved particles were detected in the eluates.
The coefficient of variation (CV) (n = 10) was ≤ 30% at both flow rates, which indicates an equilibrated test system at both flow rates. The maximum difference (MD) on the mean values of the samples at both flow rates was also ≤ 30%. However, in the samples from the blank column similar concentrations were detected. Correcting for the signals observed in the eluate from the blank column results in a water solubility of ≤ 0.1 μg/L.
The limit of detection (LOD) was 0.010 μg/L taking a dilution factor of 10 into account.
Conclusions:
The test material is insoluble in water (≤ 0.1 μg/L).
