Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The flash point is given as the mean value of the duplicate determination. The measured flash point is therefore 139.0 ± 0.5 °C (corresponding to 412.2 ± 0.5 K).

DISCUSSION
The difference between the two values which were measured was below 2 K.
No observations were made which might cause doubts on the validity of the study outcome. Therefore, the result of the study is considered valid.
Executive summary:

A safety test was performed. A small amount of the test item was heated in a test tube in an aluminium block with a bunsen burner. No boiling was observed until 400°C; therefore the safety pre-test was ended. The test item changed its colour to orange/yellow. After cooling down, no further changes of the test item were observed.

Then, a pre-test and a main test with two experiments were performed using a flashpoint tester.

The flashpoint of Methyl 2-[(2-methylundecylidene)amino]benzoate is stated as

139.0 ± 0.5°C(corresponding to 412.2 ± 0.5 K).

This value is the mean value of two independent determinations.
