Additional information

Stability:

Hydrolysis

Key study:

The half-life of the test substance at 25°C is 1.16 hours at pH 4, 14.3 hours at pH 7, and 10.1 hours at pH 9. The test substance, thererefore, is expected to hydrolyse within the environmental compartment (SafePharm, 2004).

Biodegradation:

Biodegradation in water: screening tests

Key study:

Based on the extent of CO2 evolution during this study (42.57% on Day 28), the test substance cannot be classified as readily biodegradable by the criteria set forth in OECD Guideline 301B since 60% CO2 evolution was not achieved within a 10-day window of reaching 10% biodegradation.

Transport and distribution

Adsorption / desorption

Key study:

The log10 Koc for the test substance is >5.63 (SafePharm, 2004).
