Administrative data

First-aid measures

- General advice: Consult physician. Show the SDS to the doctor in attendance.
- Following inhalation: If breathed in, move person into frsh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Consult a physician.
- Following skin contact: wash off with soap and plenty of water. Consult a physician.
- Following eye contact: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. Consult a physician.
- Following ingestion: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water. Consult a physician.
- Most important symptoms and effects: see section 11 of SDS on toxicological effects.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: Use carbon dioxide, foam, powder.
- Unsuitable extinguishing media: no data
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Decomposition products released in a fire, e.g. oxide of sulphur and oxide of carbon, should be considered as probably harmful if inhaled. Unknown risk of formation of toxic pyrolysis products.
- Advice for fire fighter: no data

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Avoid breathing vapours, mist or gas. Ensure adequate ventilation Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Avoid breathing dust.

- Environmental precautions: Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not let product enter dratns. Discharge into the environment must be avoided.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:Pick up and arrange disposal withouit creating dust. Sweep up and use a shovel. Keep in suitable closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed. Normal measures for preventative fire protection.
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Store in a cool place with a polythene bag as inner package in a paper bag as outer package.

Exposure controls / personal protection

1. Technical protection measures: No data
2. Organisational protection measures: Provide adequate ventilation. keep container tightly closed.
3. Hand protection: Handle with gloves. Gloves must be inspected prior to use. Use proper glove removal technique (without touching glove's outer surface) to avoid skin contact with this product. Dispose of contaminated gloves after use in accordance with applicable laws and laboratory practices. Wash and dry hands. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN374 derived from it.
4. Feet protection: No data
5. Body protection: No data
6. Eye protection: Face shield and safety glasses. Use equipment for eye protection tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or EN166 (EU).
7. Respiratory protection: Where risk assessment shows air purifying respirators are appropriate, use full-face particle respirator type N11 (US) or type P3 (EN143 (EU) respirator cartridges as a back-up to engineering controls. If the respirator is the sole means of protection use a full-face, air-supplied respirator and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU).

Stability and reactivity

1. Reactivity
2. Chemical stability : Stable under recommende storage conditions as at room temperature
3. Possibility of hazardous reactions : Hazardous decompositions may ocur.
4. Conditions to avoid : High temperature.
5. Incompatible materials : Acids and bases.
6. Hazardous decomposition products: Thermal decomposition will produce, carbon oxides (COx), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and sulphur oxides (SOx) and emit toxic fumes under fire conditions.

Disposal considerations

Product: Offer surplus and non-recyclabe solutions to a licensed disposal company. Contact a licensed professional waste disposal service to dispose of this material. Dissolve or mix the material with combustible solvent and burn in a chemical incimerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber.

Contaminated packaging: Dispose of as an unused product.
