- Individual treatments were prepared by adding the appropriate amount of test material to laboratory dilution water. The treatments were slowly mixed (<10% vortex) on a magnetic striplate with a teflon coated stirbar for approximately 48 hours. During mixing, clear globules of the test material were observed throughout the water column. An oily surface slick was also observed in all treatments. After the mixing period, the water column appeared clear with clear globules of test material on the bottom. The Water Accomodated Fraction (WAF) of each treatment solution was siphoned from the middle portion of the battery jar using a glass siphon and silicone tubing and divided into 2 replicate chambers. Test chambers were covered with glass to minimize evaporation and/or volatilization. - Test organisms (species):

Twenty fish per dose were exposed to a Water Accommodated Fraction (WAF) of the test substance at 0, 60, 120, 250, 500, 1000 mg/L (nominal).
