Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The study was performed to assess the chronic toxicity of the test item to the freshwater invertebrateDaphnia magna. The test was conducted following a semi-static design with test solutions renewed three times per week.

 ….

Based on the results of an acute toxicity test (Harlan Study Number: 41304633),Daphnia magnawere exposed (10 replicates of a single daphnid per group) to an aqueous solution of the test item over a range of nominal test concentrations of 3.3, 6.5, 13, 27 and 53 mg/L for a period of 21 days. The test solutions were renewed 3 times per week.

The numbers of live and dead adult daphnia and young daphnids (live and dead) were determined daily. The daphnia were fed daily with a mixture of algal suspension and Tetramin®flake food suspension.

 …….

Analysis of the test preparations showed measured test concentrations to range from 85% to 105% of nominal value and so the results are based on nominal test concentrations only.

Exposure of Daphnia magna to the test item gave the following results based on the nominal test concentrations:
