Additional information

Diisooctadecyl malate (CAS 67763-18-2) is readily biodegradable. The ready biodegradability was tested in a study conducted following OECD 301F. Based on the ready biodegradability in water rapid degradation of the substance in aquatic and terrestrial environments is expected. Thus, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, column 2, 9.2.1.2. - 9.2.1.4., further simulation tests on biodegradability in water and sediment or soil are not necessary.
