The Daphnia 48 hr EC50 value of 8.3 mg/L and the Zebrafish 96 hr LC50 value of 4.95 mg/L suggesting that 2 -Acetone polymer with phenol (BPA-Tars) is Toxic to aquatic organisms. Both of the studies were conducted according to the appropriate O.E.C.D. Test Guideline with GLP compliance. In an O.E.C.D. Test Guideline No. 209 study BPA-Tars had an EC50 value for the inhibition of activated sewage sludge of 4.54 gm/L. Therefore, BPA-Tars will have little or no impact upon the efficient operations of STPs.
