Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Aquatic toxicity

Acute toxicity data for the test item are available for two trophic levels, daphnia and algae. The results indicate that the test item was not found to immobilise the Daphnia magna up to a concentration of 100 mg/L (48-hour EC50 > 100 mg/L) and not found to inhibit the growth of the freshwater green algae Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata up to a concentration of 57 mg/L (72-hour ErC50 > 67 mg/L). These values are selected as the acute reference values for classification.

Chronic toxicity data for the test item are available for one trophic level. The chronic value is the 72-hours ErC10> 67 mg/L for the effect of the test item on growth rate of Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata. This value was selected as chronic effect value for classification.

Acute (short-term) aquatic hazard based on acute data:

48-hour EC50 > 100 mg/L (daphnia)

72-hour ErC50 > 67 mg/L (algae)

Based on these data, no classification for ACUTE/SHORT-TERM AQUATIC HAZARD is required according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and subsequent regulations and Directive 67/548/EEC and its subsequent amendments.

Chronic (long-term) aquatic hazard based on chronic & acute data and environmental fate of the product:

72 -hour ErC10 > 67 mg/L (algae - chronic data)

48-hour EC50 > 100 mg/L (daphnia - acute data)

readily biodegradable

Based on these data, no classification for CHRONIC/LONG-TERM AQUATIC HAZARD is required according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and subsequent regulations and Directive 67/548/EEC and its subsequent amendments.
