Hydrolysis: in view of its low water solubility, the study was waived.

Biodegradation: 4,4'-sulfanediylbis(2-tert-butyl-5-methylphenol) is not readily nor inherently biodegradable and further testing is not required.

Bioaccumulation: The available experimental data indicate that 4,4'-sulfanediylbis(2-tert-butyl-5-methylphenol) has a BCF which is below the classification threshold of 2000 L/kg for B in the PBT/vPvB assessment.

Transport and distribution: A log Koc value of 5.61 was experimentally derived for 4,4'-sulfanediylbis(2-tert-butyl-5-methylphenol).
