- > 100 mg/L
- Nominal / measured:
- nominal
- Conc. based on:
- test mat.
- Basis for effect:
- inhibition of total respiration
- Remarks:
- respiration rate
- Details on results:
- To calculate the inhibitory effect of a test substance, its respiration rate is expressed as a percentage of the mean of two control respiration rates.
IC50 was calculated to be >100 mg/L.No inhibition was seen at any of the test concentrations. - Results with reference substance (positive control):
- The IC50 of the reference substance 3,5-Dichlorophenol is: 20 mg/L.
- Validity criteria fulfilled:
- yes
- Conclusions:
- The IC50 of FAT 40406/A was determined at >100 mg/L.
- Executive summary:
The IC50 of FAT 40406/A was determined in a respiration inhibition test performed according to OECD 209, correspondig to ETAD-Method No.103. In this study, a mixed culture of bacteria (sludge of a Husman apparatus) was exposed to 1, 3.2, 10, 32 and 100 mg of test substance/L for 3 h. Positive control was used was 3,5- Dichlorophenol. No inhibition was seen at any of the test concentrations after the incubation period of 3 h. Hence, IC50 was estimated to be >100 mg/L. The IC50 of positive control was estimated to be 20 mg/L.
