Executive summary:

In a GLP-compliant study, performed according to EU method A.14, the explosiveness of the test substance was determined. Experiments were performed a total of six times for thermal sensitivity as well as mechanical sensitivity (shock and friction) tests. Based on the findings of the study, the test substance is not thermally sensitive, shock sensitive, or sensitive to friction and therefore not explosive.

Description of key information

Reactive Red 245 is not explosive.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

In a GLP-compliant study, performed according to EU method A.14, the explosiveness of the test substance was determined. Experiments were performed a total of six times for thermal sensitivity as well as mechanical sensitivity (shock and friction) tests. Based on the findings of the study, the test substance is not thermally sensitive, shock sensitive, or sensitive to friction and therefore not explosive.

Justification for classification or non-classification

As Reactive Red 245 is not explosive, classification is not needed according to the EU CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
