Description of key information

Monomethylamine is completely miscible in water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Referring to the WoE approach, Beilstein database (2006), Budavari (1996) as well as Wallach (1850) state that 1 volume of water dissolves 959 volumes of monomethylamine in gaseous form at a temperature of 25 °C. Additionally, it was indicated that the substance is miscible in all proportions under pressure influence (Stephenson, 1993).
