Description of key information

For the constituents of this UVCB substance adsorption to the solid soil phase and suspended particles is expected. Therefore, low mobility in soil can be assumed.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The Koc for this UVCB substance can not be determined experimentally due to its low water solubility and because it is a reaction product consisting of a variety of constituents. Therefore, it is not possible to derive a single Koc experimentally.

Therefore, the adsorption potential was estimated on the basis of the Koc values of the representative components of this UVCB substance. The calculated Koc values derived with KOCwin v.2.00 for the C9 monoalkylated diphenylamine derivatives range from 107900 to 118700 L/Kg for C9 mono-alkylated DPA and 14110000 to 28020000 L/kg at 25°C for C9 di-alkylated DPA (BASF 2017). For di-alkylated DPA the estimation based on Kow method (KOC 28020000) was out of the applicability domain and not further considered.
