Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The flash point is not relevant for gases, it is a key measure of the flammability of a liquid. The reported values can be taken as supporting information for the non-gaseous substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
-55 °C

Additional information

Experimental results for flashpoint are available for the gaseous form (100 % DMA) as well as for DMA solutions. Based on a weight-of-evidence approach, the results reported in the CEFIC guidelines for the distribution of methylamines are considered as most reliable. Experimental base of these results were measurements according to the Closed cup method (Methylamines and Derivatives Sector Group, 1999).
