In a hydrolysis study with PGDA some hydrolysis was observed at the lowest concentration and pH 7, the half-life time was greater than 48 hours. At higher concentrations PGDA appeared to be stable in water. In a biodegradation screening test according to OECD guideline 301 B, PGDA was shown to be readily biodegradable (69.9% biodegradation within the10 day window). Based on the existing biodegradation data and considering the low potential for adsorption to sediment. No further biodegradation or bioaccumulation testing in water, sediment or soil is

required.
