Results and discussion

Water solubility
Water solubility:
10.8 mg/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
7.35
Remarks on result:
other: +/- 0.5 mg/L, CV = 5.0 %
Details on results:
The limit of quantification (LOQ) for the determination of test substance in reagent water was defined as 1.90 mg/L, calculated as the sum of the concentration of the lowest-level calibration standard (1.00 mg C/L) and the overall mean background in the reagent blank sample (0.495 mg C/L) divided by the %C in the test substance (78.68 %).

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)
The water solubility of Alkenes, C11-12, hydroformylation products, distn. residues was determined in reagent water at 20 °C using the shake flask method. Solubility samples were collected and analysed using total carbon analysis (TOC). The mean net (background subtracted) solubility (n = 6) of the test substance at 20°C was 10.8 mg/L ± 0.5 mg/L (CV = 5.0 %)
Executive summary:

The water solubility of Alkenes, C11 -12, hydroformylation products, distn. residues was determined in reagent water at 20 °C using the shake flask method according to OECD Guideline of Testing of Chemicals No. 105: "Water Solubility". Solubility samples were collected and analysed using total carbon analysis (TOC). The mean net (background subtracted) solubility (n = 6) of the test substance at 20°C was 10.8 mg/L ± 0.5 mg/L (CV = 5.0 %)
