Description of key information
The study does not need to be conducted based on REACH guidance. The BCF for 2-nitropropane was determined in a screening study and by estimation.

The study does not need to be conducted based on REACH guidance since the log Kow is <3 (reported value 1.35). In a screening study, The BCF was < 0.1 in fish after 3 days of exposure to 50 ppb. This is consistent with the low log Kow value for the compund and an estimated log BCF of 0.5 using an accepted method of calculation.
