Description of key information

The melting point was found at 1756°C according to the determination of the melting point by TG-DTA.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
1 756 °C

Additional information

The result is based on a GLP study according to OECD guideline 102. During the entire experiment, four mass loss steps were observed. The origins of these mass loss steps were related to the decomposition and evaporation of impurities (probably below ~500°C) and the release of oxygen at higher temperatures. The last response starting at an extrapolated onset temperature of 1756°C was related to melting.
