Additional information

One study (Robama, 2011) was performed on Basic Brown 1 acetate following OECD 202. The substance under the experimental conditions showed an EC50,48h = 0.26 mg/l (Immobilisation). The same order of magnitude of toxicity was observed also for analogue substance 2, confirming that the hazard does not come from the acetic part of the molecule.
