Description of key information

The influence of the test item PETMP on aquatic organisms representing three different trophic levels was investigated in three acute studies in accordance with OECD guidelines and GLP principles. The acute toxicity determined was as follows: Oncorhynchus mykis 96h LC50 = 0.42 mg/L, Daphnia magna 48h EC50  0.85 mg/L, and Desmodesmus subspicatus 72h EC50 > 0.65 mg/L. In conclusion, the fish Oncorhynchus mykiss was the most sensitive organism tested with a 96h LC50 of 0.42 mg/L.

PETMP at a concentration of 23.9mg/l has no inhibitory effect on the respiration of sodium benzoat by sewage sludge inoculum.
