First-aid measures
Inhalation: There will be immediate irritation of the throat and mouth, followed by the rapid onset of shortness of breath, anxiety and loss of consciousness. The patient may have a smell of bitter almonds on his breath. Convulsions can occur and death may occur within 30 minutes.
If the patient is conscious, he should be placed flat on his back and rest quietly under supervision. Give amyl nitrite - break an ampoule of amyl nitrite 0,17mg into a hand kerchief or cloth, and hold under the patient’s nose so that he inhales the vapour. This should be repeated with a further ampoule at 3-minute intervals, using up to 5 ampoules. If the patient is unconscious, place in the unconscious position and start artificial respiration (by the Silvester´s method), ev. give oxygen, and heart compression if breathing has stopped and the pulse cannot be felt. If the breathing and pulse are present, give amyl nitrite as up. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious patient. Do not give alcohol, morphine or any stimulant. Seek medical advice immediately.
Convulsions : Place the patient in the unconscious position. Ensure that there are no hard or sharp objects in the vicinity so that the patient will not injure himself. Give diazepam 5mg intramuscularly .If this does not control the fit within 10 to 15 minutes, give a further injection of diazepam intramuscularly. Seek medical advice immediately.
SKIN CONTACT: There may be irritation and pain, event. may be evidence of a chemical burn - redness and severe pain. This substance is absorbed through the skin, even as gases, producing similar symptoms to those of inhalation and ingestion
Remove contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash off the chemical immediately with copious quantities of water at least 10 minutes. Continue for a further 10 minutes if there is any evidence of substance still on the skin. If burns are severe and extensive, seek medical advice immediately
EYE CONATACT: There may be irritation and redness. Burns may occur.
Wash the chemicals out of the eye with copious amounts of water as quickly as possible min. 10 minutes. If there is any doubt whether the product has been completely removed, repeat eyewash for a further 10 minutes. For treatment of severe pain, give 2 paracetamole tablets by mouth every 4 hours until the pain has been relieved. If there is very severe pain, give morphine sulphate 7,5mg (half an ampoule) intramuscularly. Seek medical advice immediately.

Rinse mouth with clean water. Give 2-3 glasses of water or active charcoal dissolved in water. Do not induce vomiting, immediately seek medical help.
