Executive summary:

The Present study was conducted to determine the Melting Point of Cyanogen Bromide sponsored by Libor Bachura Vyzkum a vyroba, Czech Republic at Bioscience Research Foundation, India by following OECD 102 guideline.

The Melting point of Cyanogen Bromide was determined by capillary method in Melting Point Apparatus. The test substance was filled up to 3 mm into the closed end of the capillary tube and placed into the apparatus provided with heating system containing silicone oil and temperature raise at the rate of 3°C / min. The temperature at the beginning phase and end phase of melting was observed and recorded. The experiment was performed in triplicate and the melting point of the test substance was determined to be 53.1°C with 0.29 RSD.
