Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

There are no studies available that assess the chronic toxicity of the test substance to aquatic plants. However, as the test substance belongs to the substance category of Phthalocyanines whose category members resemble in their chemical structure as well as in their phys-chem properties, a read-across approach was used to cover this endpoint.

The acute toxicity of Phthalocyanines to Lemna gibba was investigated by a test on CAS 59160-79-1 according to OECD 221. The study was conducted according to GLP and the exposure lastet 7 days. Acute toxicity (frond number) resulted in EC50 > 10 mg/L [Ibacon 2015a].

Another study on Lemna gibba was done with CAS 28901-96-4 following OECD guideline 221 and GLP. Lemna gibba were exposed to the test substance for 7 days. Regarding the growth rate (frond number) of the species a EC 50 > 100 mg/Lwas determined [Ibacon 2015b].
