Additional information

An acute toxicity test to fish was conducted (Huntingdon Life Sciences Ltd, 2013) to determine the effect of ETD on fish. The study was conducted in compliance with GLP and according to OECD and EC test guidelines (OECD203 and EC C1).Mortality of groups of 7 fish per conentration was recorded over a 96 -hour exposure period under semi-static conditions (test media were renewed daily).

The 96 -hour LD50 to Rainbw Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) of ETD was found to be 78.5µg/L (measured concentration based on the geometric mean of measurements taken from fresh and expired media at 24 and 72 hours).

ECOSAR (EPI Suite ECOSAR, v1), a computer model, was used to estimate the toxicity to Fish of ETD. ETD was classified as a Neutral Organic compound, and the partition coefficient was used to calculate the acute LD50value. Narcosis was predicted to be the principal mode of action.

The acute LD50to Daphnia was estimated to be 0.191 mg/L.
