Neither in vitro nor in vivo data for skin and eye irritation/corrosion with BAY 73-4506 HCl are available. But based on a measured pH value of 1.31 the substance should be considered as corrosive.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Due to the low pH value of 1.31 a self classification of BAY 73-4506 HCl according to Directive 67/548/EEC or Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP) is recommended as follows:

DSD: R35 (Causes severe burns)

GHS: Skin Corr. 1A (H314: Causes severe skin burns and eye damage)
