Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 (9.2.1.2) of REACH (Regulation 1907/2006/EC) Annex IX, simulation testing on ultimate degradation in water and sediment is not needed, as the CSA according to Annex I does not indicate the need to investigate further the degradation of the substance and its degradation products.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Column 2 (9.2) of REACH (Regulation 1907/2006/EC) Annex IX suggests that simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water is needed if the chemical safety assessment according to Annex I of the REACH Regulation indicates the need to investigate further the degradation of the substance and its degradation products. The CSA does not trigger further simulation testing under the assumption of no biodegradation of the substance. Thus it is assumed that degradation does not occur in the water and sediment. Moreover, simulation testing in water is waived because exposure via water and sediment is unlikely as emissions to water are avoided due to incineration of waste water.
