Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The substance is exclusively registered under Article 17 (and/or 18) of Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 (REACH) as an on-site isolated and/or transported isolated intermediate.

Since this chemical is used as a closed-system intermediate, there is limited exposure potential to humans, aquatic organisms and the environment.

Additional information - General Population

The substance is exclusively registered under Article 17 (and/or 18) of Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 (REACH) as an on-site isolated and/or transported isolated intermediate.

Since this chemical is used as a closed-system intermediate, there is limited exposure potential to humans, aquatic organisms and the environment.

Contact with water and other compounds which possess active hydrogen (e.g. protic solvents such as alcohols, etc.), will rapidly decompose this product forming hydrogen, 2-methoxyethanol, aluminium and sodium hydroxide. Thus, exposure of the general populationis considered extremely unlikely.
