Sec-butyl chloroformate has an estimated log Kow of 1.54, which is clearly < 3. Therefore, significant bioaccumulation is not to be expected. Moreover, sec-butyl chloroformate is rapidly hydrolysed. The hydrolysis product sec-butanol has also no significant potential for bioaccumulation (OECD, 2002).
