Additional information

The biodegradabiltity of the submission item was determined in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 301B to be 28% after 28d.

Furthermore, a QSAR estimation using SRC BIOWIN v4.10 predicts that the substance is not readily biodegradable (BASF SE 2012). Two further calculations using CATALOGIC v5.11.2 predicted a biodegradation in the magnitude of 30% after 28 days (BOD 28 days MITI (OECD 301C) v3.04 and BOD Kinetic (OECD 301F) beta_v07.09). Based on these estimations, the test substance is considered to be "not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria”, but inherently biodegradable. Due to these results it is assumed that the results of simulation studies would not reveal any different findings. Therefore, simulation studies in surface water and sediments as well as in soils are not performed.
