Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The 48h-LC50 in daphnia is 0.331 mg/L

The 72h-ErC50 in algae is 0.063 mg/L

The NOEC in algae is 0.039 mg/L

Additional information

Acute aquatic toxicity was determined in fish, daphnia, and algae. The LC50 value in fish could not be determined as already after 48 hours the test substance concentration in all test media had decreased below the detection limit of 0.04 mg/L. The results of the daphnia study are adequate, but also in the algae study, the test substance concentration decreased substantially during the course of the study. However, a geometric mean could still be calculated. The decrease in test substance concentration during the fish and algae test was investigated in an additional study. Absorption to the wall of the test vessel and photo-degradation had only a limited influence on the decrease in test substance concentration. However, it was determined that absorption to algae decreased the amount of test substance in the medium substantially. Nonetheless, the data of both the daphnia and algae study are sufficiently reliable in order to determine the classification of the test substance.
