In a study the hydrolysis reaction of LiBOB was investigated at different pH values (pH = 4, 7, 9) and temperatures (T = 25°C, 40°C, 60°C) using 11B-NMR (according to OECD guideline 111). The half live of LiBOB at 25°C was 169 min. The assessment also showed that the pH value has no effect on the hydrolysis of LiBOB, but the temperature. Postulated degradation products from a study of 2000 could not be detected in this hydrolysis study.
