Administrative data
First-aid measures
In case of inhalation: Remove casualty to fresh air and keep warm and at rest.
In case of skin contact: Remove contaminated, saturated clothing immediately and dispose off safely.
Wash with plenty of soap and water.
In case of eye contact: In case of contact with eyes flush immediately with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes holding eyelids apart and consolt an ophtalmologist.
Protect uninjured eye.
Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
In case of ingestion: Rinse mouth immediately and drink 1 glass of water.
If unconscious place in recovery position and seek medical advice.
Never give anything to an unconscious person or a person with cramps.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media: dry extinguishing powder, carbon dioxide (CO2), water spray jet, foam
Unsuitable extinguishing media: full water jet
Spezial hazards arising from the substance:
In case of fire may be liberated: carbon monoxide, toxic pyrolysis products, flue gases
Advice for firefighters: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing.
Dispose of waste according to applicable legislation.
Use water spray jet to protect personnel and to cool endangered containers.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
For non-emergency personnel: Provide adequate ventilation.
Stay upwind/keep distance from source.
In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Avoid inhalation.
Wear protective gloves/protective clothing and eye/face protection.
In case of leakage, eliminate all ignition sources.
Avoid heat and sparks.
For emergency responders: In case of large amounts:
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing.
No further precautions additionally to the emergency procedures for non-emergency personnel.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter surface water or drains.
Do not alliw to enter into soil/subsoil.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
In case of large amounts: Pump off product. Collect spillage.
For residues: Soak up inert absorbent and dispose as waste requiring special attention.
Suitable material for taking up: Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents).
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Work in well-ventilated zones or use proper respiratory protection.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Avoid breathing dust/fumes/gas/mist/vapours/spray.
Only use the material in places where open light, fire and other flammable sources can be kept away.
Wash hands before breaks and after work.
When using do not eat, drink, smoke, sniff.
Conditions for safe storage:
Keep only in the original container in a cool, well-ventilated place.
Store in a dry place. Store in a closed container.
The floor should be leak tight, jointless and not absorbent.
